Bureau: Russians' car loans hit record in April–June

MOSCOW, Aug 7 (PRIME) -- The average car loan taken by Russians hit a record of 658,000 rubles in April–June, rising from 640,000 rubles in January–March, credit histories bureau Equifax said in a report on Tuesday.

An average loan taken in Moscow and the Moscow Region stands at 850,000 rubles in April–June, while the sum for the other regions stands at 618,000 rubles, Equifax said.

In total, Russians took out car loans worth 123 billion rubles in the quarter, slightly less than in a typically strong fourth quarter of each year. For instance, the total amount of car loans issued in October–December 2017 stood at 128.5 billion rubles, the bureau said.

The amount of loans overdue by more than 90 days amounted to 29.6 billion rubles in the period.
